37.3 million Americans have diabetes which is about 1 in 10 of us. Though it’s not the main reason, diabetes was a main factor in what took my grandma from this world on July 17th, 2021 and I don’t want people to struggle with it like she did. Diabetes has affected my whole family in some capacity but especially my grandparents. Thus, my research into type-2 diabetes was both informative and deeply personal. I wanted people to know that it’s a manageable and common occurrence in America and enlighten them about information that is never talked about. Hopefully to help save lives from the pain I witnessed during my life.
